"I am not prepared for this"
This is basically where my wife is at now. Keeping up appearances for family's sake, and holding on to scraps of faith in god.
first of all thanks for all the kind words!!!
i am over whelmed by the responses.
i work very hard through the week and the only time i can reply is in the early morning hours, i read the respones on my iphone through out the day, if there was a way to log on with the phone, i would.

in his upcomming book, "how jesus became god" bart ehrman has a new view on how paul viewed jesus.
since i am a huge bart ehrman fan i am a member of his blog site, http://ehrmanblog.org link to direct blog entry: http://ehrmanblog.org/pauls-view-of-jesus-as-an-angel-for-members/.
there he made a recent blog entry where he argues that paul viewed jesus to be an angel according to galations 4:14. .
Interesting. . . Will have to check it out.
i have served 20 years as an elder, 5 years as an ms. was on the district committee in 2010, held various positions on the district , circuit, and rbc level.
probably been on more than 100 judicial committees and even an appeals committee.
was the coordinator in our congregation and deleted because adult child was df ( i kicked him out at the time of his wrongdoing, but that wasn't enough for thr brothers).
Welcome! Yes, being an elder is an eye-opener as many here can attest to.
i was wondering from any here in the know, does it seem like there is a lot of "remodels" going on?.
in the last week i had the occasion to talk with two jw's in different halls, about 10 miles apart.
they both are undergoing major remodels.
Seeing a LOT of remodels going on by us. Either a congregation has just remodeled, is in the process of, or is going to - one congregation is even upgrading to a new hall (despite 0% growth in the past 20 years)
Is this the society sprucing up its real estate assets before an anticipated "drop" in first-world, Internet-savvy countries? Dissolving and then combining congregations and selling off updated halls would make a pretty decent source of revenue.
i read an article this morning on how china is quickly reaching even footing with the united states in all aspects; military, economic etc.
the article continued saying how it was imperative that the united states recognize that it would be forced to behave accordingly or risk ddestabilizing the world.
another interesting statement was made that sooner rather than later the u.s. would become the 2nd largest economy falling behind china.
this new couple moved in a couple weeks ago.
special/regular pioneers, he's an elder from bethel.
i think he might have been a co at one time.
Intersting thread. Any updates?
to go in "service," "baptism," etc.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsqmosgj710
Dispensing food at the proper time worldwide in over 120 countries. . . . Just like McDonald's
This bunch is more out of touch than we can imagine. Equating the "progress" made by studying for 5 years with an adult to studying with a five year old. . . Clueless. . . .
trying to convince a jw that the wt predicted 1925 is hard because they won't look at anything from 'apostate' sites.
but the american archive organisation is a disinterested organisation who publishes anything ever printed in america online for research and scholarship purposes.
they are not apostates because they publish all religious, political, judicial, legislative etc online for the public to research.
Some good stuff here, thanks
this is very interesting, this guy was a cult member for 37 years.
replace 'william branham' for jw and you can see clearly what a cult really is.
he uses 10 points from steven hassan's book 'combatting cult mind control'.
Will check this out. . . Thanks.
watch out for armageddon it is going to be numbing to human sensibilities:.

i guess he's thinkin jehovah's gonna roast them like a hot dogs burned to a charred ruination over a fire.
If this guy was a medic in the Veitnam conflict I wonder if he saved more lives, or caused more deaths? He seems awfully opinionated and childishly simple minded.
I have my doubts that he was a medic. . . Maybe it makes him feel better to believe that.
Isn't there another thread discussing the veracity of his Nam narrative?
